    ?? How do you move a MySQL database

    So, I am thinking of moving, which means I have to download my entire network onto my harddrive then ftp it to the new server, but what's fucking me up are the databases.. I don't know how to move them. Help.

    If you have something like phpMyAdmin installed on your DB server you can export the db's to a text file. It's a point and click thing really.

      you don't have to download everything and then reupload it.
      Just do a server to server transfer.
      Your host should be able to help you with it.

              just export all your tables and all of your data. something you should be doing regularly anyways for backup purposes.

                    As mentioned before, your host will transfer it for you but its still a good idea to have local backups.

                    Not having a database backup can instantly kill your business.

                      Stuff like this typically isn't the resposibility of the host unless explicitly stated...

                      you can find someone on WHT that can do this for a few bucks
