Whats your method of starting a design?

Do you draw a detailed sketch out on paper?

Do a mock up in Photoshop?

I usually code from scratch with maybe a drawing...I'm looking for maybe an easier method of envisioning the site.

Although I do all my usual design work in PS , I use fireworks to attack a CSS design , I'm not sure what it is .. but it just flows better for that type of design for me ..

Mind you I've been considering the switch to fireworks for all my design .. I'm fuckin tired of PS .

Well PS I love, though I wanna puke on Dreamweaver. Been contemplating changing to GoLive, but never seem to find the right time to make the switch
