    Office 2002 XP question

Does Windows XP or Office 2002 XP have that 'safety' feature if you change/add hardware to your computer, it will cause some checksum to change and it locks up and requires re-authentication with Microsoft ?

I run Office XP on Windows ME and haven't had any problem. Windows XP does have that though, although if you search around I've seen a few progs to defeat that.
