I have been using virtualdub to split large avi files and everytime I do the first one is unplayable in windows media player but the second chunk plays just fine. This(http://www.geocities.com/jdivx2003/virtualdub.html) is the FAQ I have been following (Section "Splitting a DivX Avi so that it fits on 2 CDs:") - Does anybody know whats going on?

1. Use direct stream copy, mark your selection, save as. MUST work. I use this program every day.
2. No luck? Try "avichop". Its a 60k tool that works like a charm for chopping AVI files.
Good luck.<a href="http://www.homepageofthedead.com"><img src="http://board.gofuckyourself.com/images/globill_88x31.gif"></a>Comment
