Just wondering how long your normally keep your galleries up after you submit them to tgps, before you delete them.

Personally, I say leave them up and try to get them in search engines.

Well I'm still getting hits to a couple gallery pages that were listed with Hardcore Junky 2 1/2 --3 years ago I still get about 600 hits a day to them

So yes build them, post them, and forget them
tommorow's a whole new ball game.
And when the free hosting space fills up get another account

JJJ nice to see you here. Can I ask you why you have a reciept demand with your site I can understand new tgp wanting 1 but you are well establish. I also heard they help your listing on the SE is this true? You can submit to my E,mail.
[email protected] I send about 2k per day but I dont have archives, I like the Huns archives still getting 100 or so a day from july last year must have been a good month with him.I just build and leave them up even if they only pay 10 cents a day but buy the time you have a couple of thousand it's not so bad.I also send all my gallery pages to SE with auto submits its taken a while but now I have over 50 pages on yahoo.

I keep mine up forever unless I change hosting companies which I recently did, so I deleted everything from before september 2000, but that's still a long time ago.

Hey JJJ, well you know how Amy and I go.. I have never deleted a gallery since weve been in this Biz..I have over 2000 galleries now all floating around on the net.. Hell I have them from back in my ThumbLord days with my first sites, Remember 69Sexlane..and Fantasee Island..LOL good old days.
And Now Totally Thumbs is rolling along..

Warphead.. Keep making the galleries.. You can have as many sites as you need.

I have better luck and better traffic when I use 10-15 pix. I try to tease the visitors so they will go to my site to get the rest.

The point of galleries is that they eventually become part of a mini site for me, so mine generally stay up eternally. And then, in the case where I DO eventually galleries down, I make sure my 404 re-direct sends the surfer to a valid gallery so that no one gets screwed. I'm not saying I have a 100% perfect track record, but I do my best.

Say, JJJ, are you mad at me? Just curious. I used to list with you all the time and then I stopped getting listed and there was no trace of my galleries on your rejects list. If I've pissed you off, I didn't do it intentionally and I'm sorry for whatever it is that I might have done. I don't try to screw anyone over and I definitely try hard not to piss off the bigger powers in this game.

Oh well. It's back to the day job I go... Someone shoot me. Please?

I too leave them up forever, except the one time I changed hosts...some were from a sponsor that I no longer use and I took them down.

I build between 12 - 20 pic galleries, trying to do more softcore teasing series, with maybe 1 pink pic.

If you want them to help with the search engines - link your other sites at the bottom - do NOT link all of them - link a few and use the key word that you want the site you are linking to to rate higher for.

DO NOT use . or any of that other crap. Use keywords - it will help with google. Vary it with each gallery and change the title on each as well. If you use text in your gallery switch it around. I am not talking major changes here, just a few minor ones, so they don't get flagged as identical documents. It will not hurt you, but it won't help you either. Don't worry about meta tags.

I use 15 or 16 pics on the galleries...give them all up and what the fuck? The guy already came...he doesn't need to pull out his plastic cause he's reaching for a tissue and clicking on down the road!

I never take them down, because it's the dumbest thing you can do because:

1 After being posted on all those TGP's it's great for link popularity on SE's

2 A lotta TGP's have archives so it will keep getting a few hits a day(one gallery of mine that's 2 years old still gets 200 hits a day*LOL*)

3 You can slap all those galleries together in a free site and get some nice linksite traffic and even more SE traffic

recips do help SE listings. it's called link popularity. the more sites in the SE that are linked to you, the higher your link popularity for that SE, and therefore the higher your placement.

i run link trading sites, but i'm hardly helped out with link popularity at all, becaues most sites use scripts to send hits and therefore are not 'real' links.

i use scripts for my referrers, but my links are still 'permanent' links. the link itself is created by a script, it doesn't run a script when it's clicked on.
