This has got to be one of the FUNNIEST shows on Television!

this month I went through the 2 first seasons, and also catching up on the third one as we speak.

who else loves this stuff?

Unfortunately it seems that Showtime won't be picking it up after Fox cancelled. What a shame!! I'd love to see more of it

what's wierd is, the show is pretty "on the money". the "oc" area has a lot of fucked up families like that.

I absolutely love that show. My favorite part is the smears of blue paint on every wall in the house. There is almost always one in the background of every shot.

The biggest problem (and best part) of shows like Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm is the character development. Every character is so developed and complex, to truly understand all of the jokes and just how hilarious everything is, you really need to start watching from the very beginning.

Take for example Tobias from Arrested Development. In the second season there's an episode where Lindsay wants to protest the GGW rip off. Tobias wants to join in until he realizes the producer of the GGW rip is also a never nude after Lindsay pulls down his pants in revenge. That was fucking hilarious but a new viewer would never understand it without watching the series from the very beginning.

Complex characters make a show great, but it takes so long for a typical viewer to get "into" the show. I never would have watched it if a friend didn't make me, and it took 2 or 3 episodes for me to start enjoying it.
