          I used to see a lot, but lately, the only people with large lists seem to be professional myspace whores (who refer to themselves as promoters). They build up enormous friends lists with the help of whore trains and automatic bulletin posts and then offer "promotional services" to other myspace posters.

          It's pretty twisted, actually.
