This is about dupe content. I have a new network of sites and I'm using the same "about us" on each site. There will be an original about us on each site, but there will also be the same general about us that explains the concept of the network as a whole. Should I spin different variations of this general about us or just dupe it?

If you have IPs

123.456.789.10
123.456.789.11
123.456.789.12
123.456.789.13

and the sites are of similar theme, you are going to get penalized, even though they are on different IPs.

If you have IPs

123.456.786.10
123.456.787.10
123.456.788.10
123.456.789.10

Will keep you from getting penalized.

Of course, if the Class A and/or B is different you will have no problem either.

You must certainly tweak the texts. Personally, unless these are really low value or pyramid-bottom sites I would've written the texts from scratch. Also, if you are using the same engine under all of the sites you should really consider tweaking URLs so that they aren't similar.
