Ok so I have a sort of dilemna that I wanted others feedback on. I sent an ecard to a family member by marriage for a gift received and this was lets say close to a year ago. Well I hear today that the gift giver is upset because of the form of thank you I sent. He indicated to another family member that he wants a standard email vs an ecard thank you, and apparently has been upset about it for some time. What are your thoughts on this, isn't a thank you in any form to be appreciated?

I'm gonna have to go with the relative on this one.....
They took the time to go out and shop for a gift for you and spend money and the best you could do is log onto some free ecard site to type out a thank you.

Did you include a personal message with the e-card? If you did, that should be sufficient.

Yeah I suppose ecards are kind of cheesy but I love receiving them so I guess I assumed others like getting them as well. BTW they sent us a check, there was no shopping for a gift involved.Originally posted by BamaComment
