Ok so I have a sort of dilemna that I wanted others feedback on. I sent an ecard to a family member by marriage for a gift received and this was lets say close to a year ago. Well I hear today that the gift giver is upset because of the form of thank you I sent. He indicated to another family member that he wants a standard email vs an ecard thank you, and apparently has been upset about it for some time. What are your thoughts on this, isn't a thank you in any form to be appreciated?

Edited cause I read it wrong...
I'm gonna have to go with the relative on this one.....
They took the time to go out and shop for a gift for you and spend money and the best you could do is log onto some free ecard site to type out a thank you.
Kinda cheesy to meLast edited by Bama; 03-15-2006, 11:14 AM. -
Did you include a personal message with the e-card? If you did, that should be sufficient.

Yeah I suppose ecards are kind of cheesy but I love receiving them so I guess I assumed others like getting them as well. BTW they sent us a check, there was no shopping for a gift involved.Originally posted by BamaEdited cause I read it wrong...

Yeah it was as personalized as I could make it. I sent something along the lines of thank you for the check and card, very much appreciated, etc.. It was pretty short. I have only met this person once since they live on the East Coast, I didn't know what else to say.Comment
