    Hey StatsRemote!!

    Here's the deal!:

I was set up for recurring billing every 3 months. Unfortunately, the card I had given you to use for that had to be destroyed and the subsequent rebill was declined. So you sent me an email with a link in it that would allow me to use another credit card for this rebilling process. Upon entering EVERY credit card I have and getting declined using this link, I decided to call your processor for help. They suggested going directly to your site and signing up from there, which worked right away (this required 3 seperate calls, each lasting 10 minutes as they disconnect you after that time and require you to redial. At this point i've spent close to an hour on this nonsense). Once my new card was charged, I attempted to login with my new user / password into the members lounge....Guess what? The login doesn't work! So I try to run statsremote that's already installed on my computer, it's not authorized to start up with my old password. I try the new password, it doesn't work. I try the 'Change....' button during the startup process. Well, this requires me to know my OLD password, (which I didn't know offhand) and using your lost password function I was only able to get my NEW password. Upon checking all of my computers, I was finally able to find the old password. So I try the 'Change....' button again. Now what? It STILL doesn't work and I get the error 'you are not authorized to use this service'. Ok, now it's well over an hour i've wasted...I'm soo annoyed I even had to sign up to this forum and write this annoying post. I am going to call your processor again when they open in a couple of hours, cancel the transaction...and will try to sign up with another card and email. I've also received NO response from you for 24 hours, and have been without my statistics for just as long. Perhaps a free 3 month period would be justified? What do you think? It's the least you can do....

I'm sorry for your trouble but please consider the following things:

1.) We don't have control over how 2Checkout processes credit cards. If they decline a card, there's nothing we can do.

2.) We have a backup processor you can choose on the signup page in case your card gets declined by 2Checkout.

3.) The change login feature in the software is there to protect your data. You decided to select a new username and password and therefore had to change your username and password in the software as well.

4.) We received your first email Friday night at 22:31 (GMT+1). I sent you the first reply on Saturday at 17:54 (GMT+1) and the problem was solved at 18:40 (GMT+1). So, it took less than 20 hours to receive the first reply and the problem was solved in less than 21 hours. IMHO that's more than acceptable for a weekend.

5.) You already used StatsRemote for free from February 5 till March 3 while 2Checkout tried to process your credit card 15 times until they finally cancelled the subscription.

Again, I'm sorry for your trouble.

It wasn't a problem with 2checkout. The problem was with the link in the email that you sent out (the email which stated that current card was getting declined) to renew the subscription. If this link had worked, this would not have happened.

I was able to buy a new subscription using the link from statsremote.com...but because I had to use that link, instead of the one in the email...I had to chose a new password. Then getting statsremote to work locally didn't work after that, even when i found my old user / pass (the previous one). You might want to look into that. You're welcome

These emails are sent by 2Checkout with a statsremote.com from address. We didn't even know that you had a problem until we received your first email on Friday night.

There was no need to select a new username and password. There's information in the welcome email from us and on our site (http://www.statsremote.com/billing.php) on how to renew your subscription. And I have no idea why the change login didn't work for you. We had hundreds of cases before when people changed their username and/or password and so far the change login always worked.

As I said before, I'm sorry for your trouble but I tried my very best to help you in a timely manner and the problem was solved in less than 24 hours.
