    wow, just installed myself a proxy, and I'm astonished!!!

    ok, I know some of those are NOT bad requests... but still..

    the proxy caught 453 requests that it didn't let pass, plus 5 other trojan backdoor attempt to access my computer... that is, in the last 5 hours!!!

    it's insane!

      I hear ya. I had ZoneAlarm installed once but the problem I found with that was hand-picking what's allowed to pass. Before long, I was just 'rubber stamping' everything.

              You dont need any firewall to stop port attempts lol...your gonna get 10fucking million attempts this year...i garuntee. And not one of them will be a real hacker...its just kids out there with scanners. If it was someone u needed to worry about, your firewall wouldn't stop them n-e-ways..so whats the point?

                              well, when I'm on IRC, I can be scanned 20 times in less than 1 hour...

                              a lot of kids scan people to see if they can access their computers with netbus or any other trojan....
