i know how much everybody here loves abby winters, but it looks like she's changing her program around and paying rebills now. you can read about it and see their written contract dealie, a draft at least, on her webmaster page.

a friend of mine told me that apparently she's got some new guy running the program now, and apparently he's only a partial dickwad, but is like totally in love with his writing or something.

aside from the usual asshats who won't let go of the 2003 incident and always dredge it out of google cache, am wondering if this is any good or if the site converts worth a shit.

i never tried the site, i was going to promote it and saw they dont pay rebills and laughed as i was exiting the site.

the 2003 incident was a deal where she talked about how to clear cookies and explained how the affiliate system worked. she's since taken the thread down off her site, but people here still hate her for it.

I, for one will not promote her site. I used to have a decent relationship with Abby back in the late 90's to early '00 and then for some reason she got to the point where she was very curt and bitchy so I stopped talking to her all together. About 2 weeks ago a female webmaster friend was having some challenges and I though that Abby might be able to guide her since the problem was one that Abby had faced years ago and so I contacted her on ICQ and all I got was a "Why should I help you?" reply so Abby Winters, her site and her program can do without my participation.

I agree with her. I mean I spend 80 hours a week working my ass off on my sites. Then I have to fucking pay for things like hosting, advertising, employees, and supplies. After that, I don't make nearly as much as I would have if these greedy bastards didn't need their cut.
