cmd is not a valid win32 application

Has anyone ever gotten an error msg like this?

For some reason, I cannot use the command window.

I get the above mentioned error message if I try to go start/run

If I go to the actual window via programs/accessories, and try to ping or tracert, I get a dialog box telling me roughly the same thing, then the command window itself says access denied.

The only change I can think of in recent days is the latest MS update.

DOS doesn't really exist much any more on newer M$ o/s.

So much for the time I spent in college.

DOS does exist, just windows explorer shell runs everything now.

Selena, I had that exact thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. Around the same time, I got a really bad virus/spyware infection. Once I cleared up the virus, everything went back to normal. I'm not quite computer-whiz enough to know if they were truly related, but it's something to look into!

Good advice, because that is what it is looking like I may need to do. ;)
