What are the biggest challenges facing web developers?

I saw a thread like that on another forum (mainstream). Thought it would be nice to ask the question to adult webmasters.

Everyone around here is working hard ? designers, programmers, hosting providers, content producers/writers, marketers. All of us doing different things, but facing a core set of issues and challenges which seem to keep coming up again and again.

I know that I face the same problems over and over again, and I?m wondering how others would answer the question:

What is it that is most painful about your day-to-day work?
What makes you most frustrated?

Keeping contractors motivated and getting work done is the most difficult thing I have had to deal with the last couple of months. Nothing ever seems to be a priority to anyone other than Owner's and Management.

I'll tell you what's frustrating as hell, everytime a developer comes up with a new way to do something they have to go and create a whole new programming language for it so that they (and their company) get credit for it and receive any finacial royalties for it. Because of this, the coders and designers are constantly being forced to learn a whole new programming language or risk being left behind.
