It really depends on the problem. Did the harddrive explode? or does it just need a reboot.
This is true. If its a simple reboot, then it should just be a matter of minutes. However, if you have a hard drive failure, then it will take time to restore from a back up...no matter who you host with.

Hopefully the question isn't "how long does it take for your host to contact you"...I've had one in the past that took awhile to even get my response. Left them very quickly.

My host is Webair, its a dedicated. First contacted via phone tech support at 4:55pm eastern asked them to reboot it - waited 10-15 minutes still server is down - contacted a representative via ICQ at 5:10pm eastern - representative replied that someone is *working* on the server - it is 5:45pm eastern and they are still *working* on it without any explanation as to what the *working* is lol. Am I dense because frankly it shouldnt take a TRAINED TECH half an hour to figure out why a server crashed? Or does it?Comment
