    Late Late Projects...

Ok over last 6 months I have been working with alot of people on projects, now when makign a decision I usually take into consideration, price, quality and timeframe. But extremly often the designer/content provider/ writer as given me the project days/weeks late, causing me to wait and have to re-schedule my time. IT IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING.

My question is this, would I be in my rights to say at end of project, project is late therfore i deduct 10% of the cost? I have not done this yet, i was just wondering?

We do not make a habit of being late on submitting work... but in the case that we do (designers sick, family emergency, etc) I have ALWAYS either given a discount or offer FREE extra work to my client.

Customer Satisfaction is RULE #1 in my business.

My advice would be to select another design firm if you are receiving files so late after the promise date.

Give us a shot and I assure you, you will be 100% satisfied.

        :-)

I never deliver the projects on the date specified. I usually deliver it DAYS BEFORE!

Answering your question now Daz, I think you could deduct 10% of the costs IF its agreed prior to the start of the project.

          Take care,

People should in general be able to stick to the time frame agreed upon.
However if your thinking of deducting anything from the price you should have that in writing.

But then again my good man i seem to recall a few things you never got back to us about

I have always met or exceeded deadlines, to date. If I were to ever be late I would definitely discount or throw in some extras "on me."

2 Weeks LATE?!? Man...I must be getting cruddy jobs...a tour only takes me a couple days. How could you wait 2 weeks on something that should only take a few days? Were they programming entire member's areas in addition to tours?

I tell people WHEN I can begin and then I deliever when I say...2 - 3 days unless there is also a bunch of advertising materials...then I adjust accordingly. But 2 weeks LATE? Wow.
