online proxy???

I have no idea how to use a proxy. I never ever used one before.
Is there one available online where I can select the proxy country & enter the url to visit via this proxy without downloading anything or without registering etc. I am trying to check a geoip redirect to make sure it is working.

I was hoping I could find something like this, http://www.mysticproxy.com/index.php
but with the option to select a country so that I would theoretically be visiting from that country & find out if the redirect is working. I need to check my site from china, to see if it gets redirected.

well, that site has a list of open proxys that you can use to do just that. Just sort by country, and edit your browser settings to use that IP and run the test. It's a bit of manual work but it does the job.

I have no idea how to mess with my browser to do any of this??? never bothered learning as saw no need for it.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same as the one I posted. I need to be able to visit from china. Is your proxy ip from china?

Click "Connections";
If you use Dial-Up connection, choose your connection and click "Settings" button.
if you use LAN connection, click "LAN Settings" button in the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" group box;
Enable "use a proxy server";
In fields "Address" and "port", type proxy name and proxy port number;
If nessesary, enable "bypass proxy server for local addresses";
Click "OK";
Click "OK" to close IE settings.
