A personal reflection about 2006 Internext

Yes, for all of you that heard that the Internext side of the event was small in booths and attendance, this is true. However, how many times have you heard that the smaller venues are better because people actually have time to talk to one another?

I found that the lower attendance made it very easy to see everything, and if I wanted to talk to someone at a booth, there was no waiting, trying to get someone's attention.

The parties resulted in the same thing. I know I was given ample opportunity to talk to people that I really needed (wanted) to talk to and that was a good thing for both sides.

So, while I am not quite sure I see the wisdom in the changes made this year and planned for next, I will be there, and I know I will get business done, and to be honest, that is really the only reason I am there.

it was definitely easy to talk to anyone on the internext show floor, i could see people across the room i wanted to meet up with. the only issue i think, was that a lot of people couldn't find the floor at first, and then the thousands of CES'ers stopping mid-walk to stare at all of us crazy porno-folk made it a tad frustrating to try to walk anywhere outside of the internext floor.

Not only the CES folks were stopped mid-walk staring at you guys , but it was alot easier to talk/do business with less people here. The jungle bash was actually fun this year, due to the smaller crowd from last year.I did alot more business this year than last and it was much easier to do.

I really like smaller shows, but Internext is not the time or the place for a small show imho.

Well, yeah, there was the issue of standing in 3 different lines to get my pass before I found the right one. At least the lines were very short.

It was very nice not to have to stand in lines to talk with people...made up for all the walking and crazy crowds. I also had the opportunity to speak to alot of people who are usually bombarded, so I didn't have to waste so much time just standing around.
