    dsl networking question

Ok, Im trying to use a sonicwall SOHO2 to share access of my dsl line. I got it all set up properly and encountered that I could find websites, but after that the pages would just hang. Serives like icq worked, but getting to websites did not.

So, I did a little investigating and found out my LAN ip address needed to be pingable in order to have a session with my isp. I made the changes and got some sites to work and some still wouldnt load.

Any suggestion on how to fix this? Its obviously my ISP taking measures to not allow a shared connection without me buying their hardware.

    Please help

    What OS are you using?
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

xp, and also, nothing would work until I set the gateway to the soho2, even though I was running dhcp on the soho.

I'm running W2K supposedly XP is set on same platform. I couldn't get my Linksys to work properly until I disalbed DHCP and set up each of my computers with a static IP address. Works great for me now.
