They literally abuse people who surf porn with unwanted ad's. Sex and its subject may be no big deal to us but to ordinary people it's a big deal.

Spammers literally take money from a real working webmasters, as we all know most people when they want porn will look for it. They do not need an email to do it. Thus the result is you lose serious volumes of sales and traffic.

Spammers give our industry a bad name. Publicly and demonised by mainstream media, bringing in unwanted law's and unwanted enforcements making life harder for us all.

Spammers abuse children whom recieve an explicit email in thier email. This is single handedly the most under acknowledged crime. This crime to the underaged is to sick to address...

Spammers that host with a company you host with endanger you're own business with that host provider. For example SPAM complaints can actually shut down you're datacenter since they might be located in a box right next to you.

It comes down to honestly making money in this business and working for it. Spammers generally have no skills, they just hit the send button.

The sadest thing is that many sponsors relie on Spammers and generally treat spammers like kings. All it really does is empower a complete fucking moron that is breaking the law and rewarding them for it.

So you people out there that think "so and so" is a cool guy, or "so and so" is brilliant... Wrong! Sorry! the truth is he is an idiot, a law breaker and a child molester. The spammer is no hero to our industry looking up to loosers like this only makes you become one.

Lastly Spammers are not "Industry", they like to pretend they might be but remember all they are doing is hitting a submit button, they do not give a fuck about this industry, a fuck about a niche, a fuck about laws or children.

Point 1) There is not a damn thing that can be done about spammers in other countries. They don't give a shit what anyone thinks and there will ALWAYS be someone to take the traffic. The "billions" of dollars in cost will be here if there wasn't one person on the continent sending spam. Therefore, I would have to say I'd rather see that money put back into the economy.

Point 2) Everyone gets junk mail, phone calls, and the government sells your info when you get incorporated. They sell this info to companies that send you junk mail or call you to sell you something. If we wanted to add up every second wasted talking to telemarketers or sorting through bullshit mail it would eclipse the costs you come up with for spam tenfold. The ONLY difference in those forms of advertising is the government gets a cut either by selling your info outright or postage on the mail. The government does not care if someone tries to sell you something, it's free enterprise and just and everyday cost of doing business. The only reason spam has gotten a bad rap is politicians using it as a rallying point to get support. They have done the same with telemarketing but if you look into it you will see that it's just a con to make more money. The government CHARGES YOU to get access to the do not call list so you can scrub your numbers and avoid fines or jail time.

Point 3) Almost everyone involved in this industry deals with a company that deals with spam, spyware, and other shady shit on a regular basis. This industry was built, and is still heavily financed through these practices. To say you 100% don't agree with them and stand by what you say you would have to cut off all ties to others. That means you open your own site, shoot your own content, and generate your own traffic. But don't use the traffic from any TGPs that might deal with spam or spyware behind the scenes. Anything else makes you a hypocrite.

Fighting, complaining about SPAM makes me no money, and usually makes things harder as when they find out who did the complaining the SPAM goes up.(I wouldn't suggest forwarding SPAM email to any sponsor that asks for it on this board)

If I know a company is allowing SPAM, I will not promote them as the time will come when I wonder why my check has not come only to find out their assets have been frozen.

The best thing I have done to stop SPAM is install BOXTrapper Spam trap on my accounts.(Yes there has been a company doing this type service for a long time, but I like direct control) Before that I downloaded all email and filtered it through more software. Only around 200k SPAM email this year before BoxTrapper was installed. Life will now be much easier.

For example: I hate those stupid AOL cds I get in the mail every week. I hate them because the packaging kills trees, the CDs make shitty coasters and they are the cause of more people on the internet that shouldn't be on the internet. However, those people who shouldn't be on the internet from AOL are making a bunch of people money who can sell to those people.
