everything else related to seo could be debated for pages and pages..

Your best bet it to realise nobody is going to tell you "how to do seo" because why give away money , but what you can learn is "how NOT to seo " and thats almost as good.

One thing don't depend too much on search engine traffic, one day you can be on the first page getting lots of traffic, then 4 week later you can be on the third page. Try to get your traffic from different places. So if one goes down, you still have few others.

Here's my input on how to SEO (take it from me, cuz I've never SEO'd and am just taking a stab in the dark):

Don't start a useless blog - It just pollutes the net.
That whole RSS thing - It's just text, really. Use it if it's relevant.
Please, please, create a site that's original, that doesn't copy from another's and has it's own content that a surfer will enjoy - otherwise, you'll pollute the net like so many others are doing.

And like Smokey said, and cuz he's been a voice of wisdom since I was "this tall", get relevant links.
