    freebsd help..

    i saw that thread about linuxiso.org so i went ahead and downloaded freebsd

    but.. all i can get is the command line version, how do i run the xwindows bit

    i could be talking shit but if you have any idea what im on about please help

    It depends if you added it during install. Try startx.

    If it doesnt work you should get an error message telling you what it didnt like.

        rm -rf /

        do?

        i was told it would fix the x thing on irc but now it wont work at all

                        P.S. You are too stupid to run BSD/Linux/UNIX. Go install Win2k Server or something.

                          Assuming you are not joking about the rm command and assuming you actually do wish to continue with a BSD server, why run X?

                          Just load apache and SSL, shut down all ports except those you intend to use and you are good to go.
