    Data recovery

Is it possible to get data from a partition that was reformated?

I fucked up bigtime with an outlook export. All it got was the folders and not the actual e-mails. Can these be recovered?

    Thanks in advance

If you reformated the partition, I think your data is gone. I'd ask a data recovery expert if I was really desperate.

you could techinically get it back from a data recovery shop - it would be expensive though

Very expensive, I used these guys once to recover from a broken notebook hard-drive:

Shuki, if you have NTFS try this
              http://www.runtime.org/

I used it before on a drive I formatted by mistake and everything was recovered.

This program will do it for you:

                http://www.stompsoft.com/recoverlostdata.html

Of course you will need the full version (which I have somewhere) to actually recover the files.

Thank you everyone for the help. I can't believe I did this. I will let you know the results as soon as I "hopefully" have them.
