Average pay to a model?

what is the average pay to a model when you are shooting for an amateur site? My photographer friend and I were trying to figure out what to pay the lady but we have no idea what's fair. And I've heard that offering a percentage of the sales is a bad idea. I need some feedback on this.

it all depends on what it is your shooting and your physical location. Models in Cali make a lot more than models in Utah or someshit

$500 a day for solo girl nudes is pretty standard - i'm sure in some places where girls have no way of knowing what a nude model makes that she might do it for less.

Am I really going to be the first one to say this? If you don't know what models make, it probably isn't the greatest idea to go and shoot a site.

Generally I do a 50/50 split when doing solo girl sites. I make good money, and I end up with a well paid model that is happy to do live appearances at model expos and car shows, and is around to do live chat, etc (the more she promotes and is active with the site, the better it sells).

I've observed on GFY that there are some who pay models for say a week worth of modeling - a few thousand bucks at most (and shoot dozens and dozens of photo sets), pay the girl a flat fee for her modeling, and essentially dump her since now they have enough content to fake an active solo girl site (until they find a new mark).

Personally I find this unfair to the model, even if the model was gullible enough to sign a release that earns her a small percentage of what the webmaster will ultimately make (of course the agreement doesn't explicitly state this).

I have base rates for various types of modeling that are pretty average for the adult industry, so the models for my multi-model sites (such as AsianDivaGirls), know they are being paid fair market prices for being on a multi-model site.

We are doing this as partners for a solo site that we plan on launching Chris. The photographer and I are business friends. In other words, we want the pics to be exclusive and not seen until launch.

The model we just weren't sure about what to pay her, even though she's our friend, she told us to pay her what we thought was fair.

We havent' decided what is fair yet.
