    networking problems

when transferring files to/from one of my other pcs, it always locks up while transferring large files... and i end up having to reset it and run scandisk... and idea what would cause it to lock up? it's a fresh install on windows 98SE...

    win98 sucks

windows 98 blows goats.... if you insist on using it (bad idea....) use something other than windows file sharing to transfer. install an ftp server one and connect to it from the other -- or log both machines on to IRC and do a DCC transfer. anything but windows file sharing.

If you need to go low tech add AIM to both PCs and setup the files sharing on both then all you will need to do is turn AIM on both pcs and you will beable to file share... but I would only use that if nothing else works for you...

Or you can always break the files down in size.
