Today I decided that I would attempt to be a better parent: More patient, a better listener, and more sympathetic. So what I did was ask myself each time a problem came up, What would Mike Brady do?
It was less than 6 hours of breaking up arguments, listening to complaints and taking short naps to relieve stress before I decided that if Mike Brady were in my shoes he would commit suicide. I've gone back to impatience, tuning out and authoritarianism.
