Mac users please help, going insane :(

I've finally made the switch to mac because of osx and i'm very happy i did, the only thing i miss is the fucking HOME key, it's stupid, for example if i'm typing an url in safari and i want to go back to the start of the line to add www or correct something, i can't, the end key goes to the end of a line as it should, but the home key is useless in every app, wtf were they thinking? it has the same functionality in linux/windows is there a setting/hack i can use to bring back my home key?

well shit. I never used that function with either PC or mac. I am a mac lover but both of mine were old and eventually died. I would be able to help (I think) if I had a bootable machine here sorry.

Just program one of your function keys (those "F" keys at the top of your keyboard are programmable). Follow the instructions for how to program the F(unction) Keys in the "Help" area.

Wow... been using macs for 15 years and didn't know that. Should save me some time.
