Would it be accurate to claim that 1k worth of SE traffic is better than 100k worth of TGP traffic? If not, anyone with a more accurate comparison?

i would exchange the 1k SE into 100k-extra-tgp-traffic.

No offence... but the only way to say what I'm trying to say is like this... your galleries must be total shit if you aren't making sales on tgp. Especially on 100k of traffic, that's a lot not to make any signups on.

Depending on the SE keywords, I'd probably take the tgp traffic. Unless the keywords were something like "teen sex paysite" or "foot fetish trial membership" then it isn't really worth it. You can't make any sales with search engine traffic looking for "free teen passwords" or "free teen hardcore" unless you're promoting some free password site where you're going to get $0.6 - $1 per signup.

Read around the large resource sites, check for tutorials on how to improve your galleries. READ the tgp guidelines (I hate "rules") and keep well within them. If the tgp wants minimum 16 pics, use 18 just to be safe. Look what's already on the daily listings, I'd bet my bottom $$$ that if the tgp has 100+ "babe" submissions per day, all on paid hosting with 2 sponsor links, then they won't post your free hosted 4 sponsor link babe gallery. I could go into colour schemes, banner placement, effective text links etc but you'll find (at least the basics) of that on the resource sites. The rest you'll need to learn for yourself through experience - it could take 4 months, it could take 8 months - it could take 12+ months. Why? You've got to find what works for you, everybody takes a different approach. For me personally, it's taken over 12 months to get my technique down, but I find that it's worth it. I can now get listed at just about anywhere and when every gallery that you make generates sales, it's quite pleasing. Trust me, if you take the time to read, learn and most of all PRACTICE, then hard work will pay off.

One last note - don't forget that the selling techniques that you will learn with tgp will pay off in just about every other aspect of marketing in this biz - gallery techniques can be applied to avs sites, free sites, opt in email lists, search engine pages... etc. TGP traffic is the worst of the worst, one of only a few types of traffic where you can get hundreds of thousands of visitors and make less than $500. Other bad traffic would be password site and exit traffic, for example.

If you can sell memberships to only 10 of 100,000 freeloaders, then you can conquer avs and warning page sites with absolutely no problem. PK and Greenguy are monsters for sending signups - IF you have the techniques to sell. You can only perfect those techniques with tgp, you've had the worse from tgp, and there-on-in things can only get better.

Most of his posts, (like mine and everyone elses) are pure entertainment. A joke here, a quick comment there, but then every once in a while...

I usually copy the post and save it on a notepad page and put it in a folder called "Webmaster bible files".

Every once in a while I read thru them to how closely I'm following them
