SE experts - ? about javascript

I understand that SE bots dont trip javascript on a page - but is that just client side stuff?

So for instance an rss feed using JavaScript would be spidered because it is a server side script?

Or am I not even in the ball park here......

any javascript code on the final page that the bot sees is bad for SE..

if the RSS feed is displayed as regular HTML on the final page then it should be fine because the bot won't see the javascript that is displaying the RSS feed......just load the page and View Source...if there is no javascript then you should be safe
