    Fucking Computer Problems...anyone help?

    When I reboot my computer it takes FOREVER to start! I have the black screen with the underline curser blinking in the top left corner for about 10 minutes and then it goes into the regular XP boot.

    My system seems to be working fine when it's running but I have to reboot often and it's a pain in the ass to have to wait 15 minutes for it to boot. I had a techie on the phone the other day and he told me to reboot my computer. I just laughed.

    Anyone know what causes this?

      Run spyware / virus tests ... I never heard of a spyware doign that ... at worse ... just back your shit up on dvds and reformat the fucker ... takes an hour

          boot sector on the harddrive may be going bad.
          if you can, make a boot disk and try to boot from that, see if it still take along time to boot.
          their are sites on the net where you can download a boot disk.
