Sears Essentials

So has anyone seen these stores yet? A bunch of old KMarts here are being turned into Sears Essentials stores.

If you ask me, I don't see these stores lasting. they seem like a pitiful attempt at reviving Kmart which has been a dying store for over a decade. Kmart has never had a reputation for quality or customer service.

Sears has been known for Auto Repair scams and antiquated catalog sales methods.

I went into one of these sears essentials stores and it had an eerie aura. You know that you're in a Kmart. You walk around and see craftsman products and die hard batteries and Kenmore appliances. The layouts are lame and their product selection still blows.

I'll stick with Wal-mart.

I think they did it because they got killer deals on the leases.

They have the opportunity be experimental with these stores because it is new ground for both KMart and Sears.

They aren't maximizing their opportunity to capitalize on creating a new niche for Kmart. They aren't improving the Kmart name or the Sears name with these Sears Essentials stores.
