    Adwords

Important news for original AdWords customers:
In order to focus our resources on our cost-per-click (CPC) AdWords program that our users have told us achieves the best results, we discontinued the original AdWords CPM program as of Monday, September 30th 2002.
Hrmm, nice of google to tell me this. I was wondering why my sales on my other non-adult site went down today.

I was paying something like $0.02 per click on the old program, this is just a way for google to make more money. I wonder how valid their claim of "our users have told us achieves the best results" is.

    Anyone else dissapointed by this?

I don't use the pay per click, but just for the record how much is the new one going to be?

For most of my keywords, it's around $0.25. I started some new PPC campaigns, if I can't get good profit out of them, I guess I should look at a site redesign or other advertising options.

I'm still kinda frustrated by this.

Sex.com seems to have a good PPC campaign. They also have pretty high converting traffic! Check them out!

We tried the CPC for a month and spent around $1500. We were paying an average of $0.44 per click. We only made about $1000 after costs and then discontinued advertising with them. I may take out a few more ads to see how things are now but I'm not that optimistic. I'd rather partner with a freehost and do a revshare than pay per click.
