    Problems with ICQ?

    Hello people,
    I'm having problems with ICQ... some clients don't get some messages i send them. (surely some of them just ignored them )
    Have you noticed anything wrong with it recently, like this past month?

      yes, i have been having the same problem

      i dont get about 10% of my messages and it seems that about that same % is undeliverable.

              I have been having problems with that as well,
              and when ever someone sends mne a url ICQ stops responding
              everytime I click the link,

              anyone know what causes this, it has been a huge pain on cost me alot of time and effort
              SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                  yeah I have been having lots of problems with the latest build version of icq and so have some of my friends.

                  Mainly lost messages and icq freezing.

                  And the worst is that it occassionally freezes the pc.

                  I am looking forward to the next version of icq.

                      I had the same problems - and switched to the latest ICQ LITE - www.icq.com/download - and it works really great so far!

                      Looks like the full version of icq is getting more and more fucked up - and the lite version is cool so far.

                      Both products are made by the same official developer but seems like only the lite version sends messages without any problems.

                          I see theFLY as online but he hasn't replied to my message. Not sure if he fell asleep with ICQ on or he ignored me, or the msg didn't go through.

                          Overall though I have no problems with ICQ.

                              I have no problem with my ICQ. It is only difficult to recognize whether the person is online or offline.

                                      I use Trillian, so I thought it was something screwy in their interface. Guess its ICQ itself!

                                          ok i thought it was just me but i guess the new version of ICQ is messing up... I'm going to try the lite version, can't afford to lose clients

                                              ICQ fucks up on a daily (if not, hourly) basis. It drives me fucking crazy!

                                                      ICQ doesn't allow to send a URL to anybody that's not on your list (to prevent these spam software)
                                                      The person has to be on your icq list to receive the message with the url or else its ignored

                                                              people who send me URLs, I dont get the message period. Real pain in the ass.

                                                              My biggest problem is that messages will show up 6 hours after someone sends them. Which sucks.
