Hey All,

Reading Reyko's licence, it appears I cannot purchase sets and then offer them in a gallery for free. Am I reading right?

If you read the terms and conditions, it says you can use up to 30 images in a thumbnail post url that is the purchaser's domain.

What they are saying you can not do is give it as free content to webmasters in your affiliate program (example) or as free hosted galleries.

There are other conditions so you may want to read the entire document.

depends on what exactly you mean by free galleries.

they're closing a loophole that of course webmasters think they could exploit. Instead of buying exclusive content or paying extra for an extended usage license they think that as long as the content is hosted on their servers they can let affiliates use these
'free' galleries to promote the sites in the affiliate program.

Been going on for awhile, i've seen free hosts try doing it, AVS systems, affiliate programs ........... if you read licenses carefully there is usually legalese which says you can't use the content for that purpose. But it is kinda unclear in many licenses so if you give an adult webmaster an inch it usually means he'll take 1,000 miles not just one.

You can use the Reyko content in your own galleries, it's using it to get traffic from affiliates in a program that you are running that isn't allowed.

I'm sure like all content providers if that's the use you want they'll
try to accomodate you at a fair price.

I just wanted to use it in a Gallery to submit to TGPs. Fresh content that would get listed, and get traffic. It appears I would be licensed to do so!

i have seen some licenses that prohibit TGP use but those people are living on another fucking planet imho.

You can use our pictures for tgp posting that is no problem. You just can't use it as "Free" content for your affiliates, webmasters etc...

What about hosted galleries for affiliates? Thats basically the same as tgp's linking it?

We had problems with webmasters downloading hosted galleries and using it on their own servers so its not allowed with our current licence.
