Cute FTP Pro problems

It seems lately when I try to upload everything starts really fast, then after 10-15 files slows down, after a few mor files It comes to almost a standstill. The i get this message
"Cannot connect to remote server. Socket error=#10061"

The upload continues very slowly until it's finished, any Ideas what could be worong, I'm sure it's not the server because this happens on all three of them.

Also when uploading it brings my internet connection to a standstill, I'm on DSL and it wasn't like this before!!!

Now, how do you make it upload only one file at a time, not every file simultaneously?

Nope, that didn't seem to do it, any other suggestions ???
