Easy Video Editor

I need to create a CNN style screen (with the news ticker on the bottom.. and the logo on top) based on a video i have.. i tried the crappy video editor that comes with windows but its wayy to basic.. whats a good option? i just need it for this thing.. so it doesnt need to be very professional
