yeah its pretty old news. a few guys came forward a few years ago and said they saw him personally shoot himself up. nobody believed them because he always passed the tests. he even donated like a million dollars to the testing for the tour n shit. so people naturally believed him. who knows the true story.. im sick of all the damn steroid stories anyway it is past ridiculous.

on BBC, they said that it was an anonymous test and his name was not on it and the French are claiming they traced the test to him. BTW... the only people ever complaining about Lance Armstrong using steroids to win the Tour De France has been the french.



I dont doubt that he used steroids. Though it is harder today, there are a lot of performance enhancing drugs and steroids that did not have reliable testing through the 90s. I just think the story is bullshit about tracing an old test to him and and the French media is acting like they just discovered life on Mars.

When you have testicular cancer you are put on a form of steroids as a normal routine medicine - the testosterone in your body goes way down so to supplement it you have to take some form - most use a patch supplement that is basically a steroid to raise the levels.

its bullshit. sorry. i guess you are trying to tell us that doctors prescribe steroids daily for a wide range of ailments, all over the world are wrong? there are many different types of steroids. all with different POSSIBLE side effects ranging from almost nothing (every medication has side potential effects) to severe depending on dosages, diet/training, term of use etc. taking testosterone and experiencing increased agression or oily skin etc, its absolutely no different than what every male went through in their teens. thats what testosterone does. were you more proned to cancer when you were 16 just because you had elevated testosterone levels? heart disease? tumors?.... didn't think so.

EPO stimulates bone marrow to produce more red blood cells and i believe it is considered a "steroid" I could be wrong on the classification tho.

Back in 1990 when Greg Lemond won the tour his VO2 Max (maximum oxygen consumption, the basic measurement of an athlete's aerobic capacity) was tops among professional racers.
Today, he would be in the 51st percentile. In other words, the Greg Lemond of 1990 who won the Tour de France would be sent back for water bottles today.

That's how much the sport has evolved and they did HELLA more drugs back then than they do now.

Lance is clean, he is a fanatic about the BEST equipment a fanatic about tweaking it and has the best tour navigator/coach the world has ever seen; not to mention the knowledge and experience he has about the course before he even goes into the race.

The other people that testified that Lance took performance enhancing drugs were two Americans from his entourage (one even wrote a book about it) and an Italian ex-team mate. Lance is as clean as Ben Johnson, only his drugs are more difficult to trace like EPO before 2000. They simply didn't look for it.
