God DaMNIT- Best program/format for Video Trailers??

fucking QT 7 fucking ruined any chance a mac had of putting out cross compatable video file for pc or even alot of mac surfers, so I try Ulead on my PC, make a WMV 9 and still about 20% of my users can't see the fucking video.

What is the standard program and compression scheme/file format most use for maximum compatability?

If 20% of your users can't view your .wmv file then there is a problem with your code and not the format.

Post the URL with the trailer and I'll take a look at it.

Also, is it a password protected directory? Older versions of Media Player have problems with this but I can show you a workaround to the problem.

it was actually not embedded, just a download link.

But my question is, what program do most use to compress raw DV videos, and what compression scheme is most compatable, I know it's WMV and MPEG, but which versions of both?
