firewire/usb drives vs internal

also what about firewire800 how does that speed compare to internal drives?

Software encoding = yes- but slower than internal
Hardware encoding = no, will fuck up the sync

Use it as storrage, not a work media

Firewire is better than usb - but im not talking speed, just works better
