    HitBots

I keep getting these waves of hits and I think they are from a hitbot, I never dealt with a hitbot before and I have a few questions about them.

    1, Do hitbots eat bandwidth?

2, I have been playing with the traffic waves and redirect the traffic to other pages with a meta refresh tag and the traffic does indeed redirect, does this mean its not hitbot traffic?

3, They appear as bookmarkers in my stats, do hitbots do that?

All input would be greatly appreciated

    they are offline spiders
click on every link on your site through ur trades in order to get to the galleries, leech all the images and save to their harddrive.

Add the IP to your .htaccess and deny the traffic coming from it
