    PROBLEM INSTALLING PREMIERE PRO...Expired -

I am trying to install Premiere Pro on a desktop computer I purchased from a friend. He built the computer 2+ years ago and it has had a few glitches, one of them being problems installing different programs. The OS is XP. It has Premiere 6.5, which works fine -but when I try to install Pro, it says the "version has expired." The program I have is a licensed copy - does this mean he previously installed a trial version of Pro on the computer and if so how do I clean out the old files? Would having 6.5 make any difference?

Double click the time in Windows and set the year back until it works.
