So who here is discouraged by the London thing? I don't want to wake up one day to another 9/11 - it seems like there is nothing we can do about this - crying in my beer.

There truly is nothing that can be done about terrorists... at least not the way things are being done currently. The more you try to "confine" people who don't like you, the more you create the very problem that you're trying to stop.
The only thing this "war on terror" is doing is spawning more terror.
And the only thing that these terrorists acts will do is spawn more efforts to stop terrorism....
it'll be a very bad spiral that will not end quietly.
