    Search engine beta-testers needed.

    www.lookpro.com

A group of us are in the VERY early stages of lauching our own search-engine, and was hoping you guys could play with it for the next few days...

Please note, the GUI isn't all that pretty right now, like I said, it is in the VERY early stages of launch.

I appreciate your help. Let me know if it sucks or not so we can make the appropriate changes.

Just been checking it out. Seems good. You said it doesn't look all that pretty right now, but i reckon you should pretty much leave it as is. Very nice and clean.

I don't like the More Results link. I'd prefer something that actually listed the pages (like google)

    Other than that, looking good!

Yea, I agree about making the page numbers, etc. I am compiling a list to give to the developers, and hopefully most of them get implemented.

      I appreciate the feedback.

Is there really a need to implement search string prompt in Flash? IMO, much too complicated and my PIII-850 gets quite slow when viewing the page - simple HTML + several GIFs would do just great.

Well, we discussed that, and we wanted to be a "bit" different...we thought something esthetically (sp?) pleasing might generate some positive feelings...

But then again, that's why it's in beta...
