there is nothing wrong with using a WYSIWYG. My typing skills suck. and for me to hand code every page would take me days. So I let the proggie take some of the mundane shit out of building a page. The only problem with WYSIWYG is that some add extra codes that some browser don't like.

So I tell everybody that has problems is to go and learn the codes first then use the WYSIWYG. and most times their problems disappear.

WYSIWYG programs are great and since I can't type save me lot's of time but you still have to learn to do it the old fashioned way because none of them are 100%.

I love the thunbnail view in ME you can browse your content folder and see the thumbs you wont to use and also the restore programe cool 1 night I got a bit drunk and fucked up big time in the morning I just went to restore and everything cool again.

Win 2000 pro is pretty cool.. i like it better then 98... I think the other microsoft product I like is the recycle bin... LOL It was a true genius at microsoft that created that...

other than that I hate MS...and if there were a viable alternative for a desktop Os I'd use it...winblowz is SUCH a memory leaking hog it's not even funny...

I must agree that most Microsoft products suck. They continue to be instable and unreliable. I would have to say that the best product they produce would be the Microsoft Office suite <---Soon to be replaced with Star Office, and Microsoft Exchange. But I would never use a Microsoft OS, especially on a server.

Microsoft Products are not there to be liked. They are there to be suffered because we have to use them (well most of them anyway) Windows 9X, Outlook, Frontpage, Word, Excell & IE

All forced down new starters throat without them noticing! Some Arse wipe material, some not so bad! But the important point is choice!!!

New starters arent given choice, their given most of the above and expected to get on with it!

As a seller of computers I am as guilty of spreading this plague as anyone but even I dont have much choice!

Other options are expensive additions to a system!!

Windows NT Workstation and Server (but not for a webserver), Internet Explorer is also pretty nice to use.

Why are all webmasters here using Win9x? The only time I use it is to play games that won´t run under WinNT.

Win2000 is nice even if it uses far to much memory and has to much useless shit in my opinion.

I have Microsucks 98 with MIE on one of my computers and Linux with Netscape and other browsers on on the rest. The only reason to still use any MS products is that programmers are slow to develop Linux programs. Plus I like to see how my sites perform on differant platforms....BIG Difference sometimes.
I also think WYSIWYG editors are great for learning but you need to learn coding as well to fine tune your pages. After awhile the editors become a real pain and you just seem to start typing code easily.

I must admit that I respect Bill and M$ in general. Remember that it's a lot harder to earn money on crap products than on good products. Microsost managed to convince almost the entire world than Windows is the #1 operating system. A few people know better but still... it's a nice achievement.
