    XP Wireless Problem!

Got a problem here with my laptop and win XP. My laptop crapped out on me so I had to reformat and use the recovery disk to reload everything. Well I did that easily but now with windows xp home reinstalled there's literally no option for wireless internet. No little icon in my system tray, nothing in control panel, nothing in network connections to set one up or even to look for available wireless networks.

What's the deal? Anyone know what the problem is? My only guess atm is to download the latest xp service pack on my desktop, burn it on a cd, then install it on my laptop. Would that fix the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does your laptop have a switch to turn wireless off and on? I inherited a laptop and couldn't get wireless options to show.. until I found the switch.

Do you have SP2 after the reformat? That is a biggie for wi/fi.

Maybe your configuration on your wireless went back to default..probably has to be reset?
