Dude, if the competition had the same amount of users, I'm sure more holes in their products would be discovered. Just because someone hasn't find a hole to get in via doesn't mean it doesn't exist. What part of "it's a numbers game" didn't sound like English to you? Once software developed using the OSS design process has been run by the same amount of users as Microsoft products you'll be able to see that it has nothing to do with the development process.
