    I need a programmer

im designing a site for a client, and i need some programming done. Its sounds pretty simple in concept, and can probably be done in a day or two, but i got no clue...here is the quick idea of what i will need. The site is for a picnic company. Potential clients can submit a proposal request through an online submit form. The owners want an administrative area where they view the proposal, edit it, respond to the proposal all from the administrative area which is web based, so they can log in from any computer hooked up to the net...i need some special features that are a little more complicated, so if you know how to program, please let me know and ill go over more details...my icq is below, and samples would also be great. I dont know shit about programming so please let me know what i will need.
    thanks,
    rosey

dont email me right now, im in the middle of upgrading servers, and my mail server will also be down for a few hours. ICQ me.

A good coder should be able to do that for ~$1k.. not much to it..
        I would but i'm a bit busy.

$2k or even $1k would be ridiculously much for this. However, I can't give a quote on what it will cost, since I don't know what the more complicated features are.

Roseyatrid, could you mail me at [email protected] with the other features you need? Then I'll give you a more realistic quote, along with some samples of my programming.

1k? thats too much.. it shouldnt cost more than a couple hundred bucks.. all you need is to store the inquiries into a database and then run an admin section that queries and updates it..

use elance.com if these crackheads want too much

How can you guys define prices on someone else programming work ??

Do u guys define prices on everything ? Like ermmm 1 banner should cost $25,- NOT MORE ... otherwise the designer is a crackhead...

I agree that it sounds like they're asking way too much. The most basic form of a script like this should cost no more than $40. However, since he talked about more complicated features, it really is impossible to give a realistic quote, since those features are still unknown...

And boldy, it might be hard to judge what someone else's programming is worth, however, you can always just take a guess at how many hours it would take to make something, and if the result is that someone is asking $200 per hour, you know you are being fucked.
