icompanion.com stealing webmaster databases?

These fuckers just spammed our email using our real info. They could not obtain it anywhere because we did not communicate with them before getting this fucking spam.

It seems strongly to us that they use Goodthinxx webmasters database (we have some indirect pointers getting us to believe this). Is there anyone previously registered with Goodthinxx who has received this spam as well?

Whats the big deal? So many people people on GFY cruicify any adult company for "emailing them" how dare they!, its not like they are spamming your ass everyday they sent you one nice email once. Thats called Business not spam.

they didn't just send a mail about their shitty program. they signed us up with our data..

and I've no clue where they got the data from.

You give your data out to a lot of programs if your anything like most people. Whats the big deal they are trying to show off their program by signing you up so to make it easy for you to take a look and maybe promote them if you like what they see. I have given my info out to 20+ programs if I get a mail like that it sure saves me the hassle of signing up to check them out i'd just login have a look around and leave (if I was at all interested in the first place).

Did it really ruin your day getting an email that didn't effect you if you just hit delete? Scripts and databases are easily imported and for all you know the people emailing you own one of the companies you signed up for originially.

Yeah I !! give the data to the programms I like.. And I trust them that they don't give it out or sell it or sign me up to shitty programms ..

I don't want to promote inco... whatever. Didn't check the members area but you can't tell me that it wouln't piss you off I I'd sign you up to every shitty program on the net with your private data

Personally I don't mind as I like to keep upto date with all new programs as oppontunities are everywhere & I like to keep track of all new things. And its just marketing thats not offensive to me.

Hmm... did you ever heard a word "privacy"? I'm a program owner so possibly I am a bit too expressive with it but I hate when my PERSONAL information is spread everywhere without me even being awared of it. I would not say it is unlawful - in Internet many things seem easier than they are. I just don't trust people who starting their business from scumming. If they purchased my (and other webmasters) info - they will not mind to sell it over when feeling short of money.
Fuck emails, they really mean nothing. I get hundreds of spam letters daily and don't even bother to download them from the server usually. This case is different - that's about my IDENTITY that was sold to people I never heard before without even asking me. What would you say if your personal info like name, address and bank account info will go over the world and every one having extra $1 can get it?

Of course it will not harm me - it is just a sign to not work with those people ever. Scums cannot be trusted because if they steal your info they will also steal your money with ease.
