COOL STAT: Avg. Views Per Thread Started (Stats Inside)

As many of you have already seen. We had been in the midst of developing a GFY Stats site. Right now things are on hold because of the "leeching" related stuff...But Lensman sounded positive about putting something together between GFY and Bluewire to make this project happen...

Anyways, we've added a couple stats to the data we had from our last spider.

We now are providing:

Avg Views Per Thread Started Week/Month
Avg Replies Per Threads Started Week/Month

The list requires that a GFY poster must have a MINIMUM of 5 threads started per week to be eligible.

I hope that if we can get this going that stats like this will really help the sig market in accuracy. Not only will you be able to know how many posts in the past week, month etc...But also have an idea of how many people are seeing the posts and replying...between on 3 stats i think you can start to formulate some sort of quality post rating (we've even considered making some sort of formula to calculate this)

We made this a while ago...We were spidering once per week (so thats a total of 2 times ) ...and it was an obscure time on purpose...

With that being said...we have stopped since the announcement. However Lensman seems interested in coming together on this one to hopefully make something work as it would benefit the board


The stats are compiled based off the stats we collected prior to the announcement

Estimated Time of Arrival....Its pretty close to being ready to go. If Lensman gave us the go ahead we'd be within 2 days work of having this at the level we'd want it at for a formal release. Atleast the beta 1 I'm sur we'll think of more stats and stuff that we can do.

I also would like to build real-time generated graphs of people's stats...like a stock chart. Lets get that sig market reborn

Well the original thought with the "gfy chat" was to put up a java-based irc chat there to try and add to the popularity of the GFY Chatroom. I know i've heard about it on here but i dont think many people are in there...atleast compared to the chatrooms for other boards...

...but then again, this board is so fast moving that its practically like a chatroom in itself

Yeah i know...looks like the amount of posts caught up with him or something Right now its minimum 5 threads starter per month so there are some guys that i'm sure have WAY less posts but have lots of views on each post

We have lots of different stats up there so between the replies, views, and total posts stats....You can start to paint a pretty good picture of the various contributors to GFY
