A belief in God does not disprove evolution. Look at the teliological argument for the existence of god. You have God and evolution easily explained.

You all have this narrow minded idea in your head of God being some big man in the sky who cares whether or not you eat pork on Sunday.

I am afraid it is a little more complex than that.

I had an evolutionary biology professor that was devout. I have met math majors who insist that you can prove God exists with math.

It seems most of you operate off some sort of odd gut instinct rather than any sort of contemplative study.

"God doesnt exit, religion is for cattle". Simple statements with never an explanation. You cannot use science to disprove the existence of God. You can use it to disprove some sort of conservative christian idea of God... but thats about it.

You are certainly correct that the human brain is incapable of processing all the data that is required to understand and see the big picture. Maybe we will never know. The Universe is a vast area and keeps expanding, with our current technological level of spaceflight we will not be able to find out much. Until we can travel at the speed of light we will be stuck with the same questions.

First cause. Seriously, I have laid in bed and lost hours of sleep over this one. So frustrating.

I can leave all of the evolution of the solar system, earth, and life on earth to science... thats their realm. Its that first cause of it all that gets to me. Something caused it. I cant assume that it just always existed. The simple laws of cause and effect force me to believe in a creation, an impetus. Things dont just simply "exist" with no cause. And then you get all mixed up with the concepts of what time even is. The puny little mind cannot grasp eternity.

There was a cause. There has to be... right? Things just dont simply exist with no cause. the cause, it drives me insane.
